Born on November 12, 1938, in Odessa, Texas, to Dunie and Mary Lowry, Daisy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known for her radiant smile, kind heart, and loving spirit. A natural caregiver, Daisy had an amazing sense of humor and loved her family more than anything in the world.
On her 20th birthday, after a whirlwind four-day courtship, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Lee Admire. Throughout their 48 years of marriage, Daisy dedicated herself to her family. She served as PTA President, Den Mother and Home-Room Mother while raising their four children. Early in her career, she worked in the printing industry as a paste-up artist. Later, she held various roles as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper before retiring from Mansfield Independent School District as a Special Education Aide.
Daisy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Admire; her parents, T.E. (Dunie) and Mary (Bardin) Lowry; her sister, Mary Elaine Williams; along with many cherished family members and lifelong friends. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Sharon Chrisner of Tampa, FL; her children: Robert Lee Admire, Jr. and his wife Jaslyn of Sherman, TX; Lisa (Admire) Jackson and her husband Dr. Walter Jackson of Victoria, TX; Dunie Ray Admire and his wife Tanya of Arlington, TX; and Mary Jane Admire of Arlington, TX. Daisy’s legacy continues through her nine grandchildren—Landon Jackson, Spencer Admire, Logan Jackson, Lauren Reinhold, Alexis Rasmussen, Dr. Austin Admire, Garrett Admire, Camryn Moore, and Grant Admire—as well as eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and the many others whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.
Daisy was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. Her laughter filled rooms, her food filled bellies, and her love filled hearts. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard and valued – and that never faded, even in her hardest days. She never met a stranger.
Watching her journey with Alzheimer’s was painful and heartbreaking, but it taught us so much about resilience, patience, and the quiet power of love. Her spirit reminded us that a person is so much more than their memory – they are how they made us feel, the values they instilled, and the love they gave. Even as the disease gradually took pieces of her memory, it never dimmed her warmth, her kindness, or the sparkle in her beautiful baby blue eyes.
Daisy Jane will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. What a joyous reunion it must have been when Mom saw Jesus’ face to face, and her faith was made whole.
