I met Daryl in 2008 when I went to work in purchasing for Exterran. I was one of his buyers for a number of years. While I never loved the middle of the night phone calls, I always knew that if Daryl was the one calling it was a truly necessary call and that he had already done everything he could do without calling someone out.  And he was a  gentleman. He taught me a lot about my job, and he always treated me with the utmost respect. RIP Daryl Hajek. You were a nice man, and it was an honor to know you. You will be truly missed. 

I had the pleasure of working with Daryl. He was kind, honest and a joy to know.  His genuine personality and integrity set an example  for everyone who knew him. It was an honor to have him in my life. Spread you angle wings and fly my friend, you certainly deserve it.

My God bring your family peace, comfort and understanding during this difficulty time.

Hajek Family,
We meet Daryl during Little League when our sons played baseball together. Many conversations were held since we both worked for compressor companies. He was kind hearted. Honored to know him throughout the years. May you find peace and understanding during this difficult time. Our prayers are with each of you. 

Daryl was a special person.  He was so talented in so many things.  Our family will miss his smiling face as he was friends  with our sons  for so many years .  God bless all his family .

Daryl has been our neighbor for over 3 decades & ALWAYS had a smile & very friendly disposition..  He had a passion for his hobby &, shared many a story about his hunting experiences. May his family dwell in his beautiful memories. RIP

Daryl, when you and I were young we never fought.  We rode bikes together several blocks away from home to catch tadpoles and other water animals.  We enjoyed bottle feeding baby calves and tending to our backyard animals.  Even though we lived in town we had a pony, rabbits, chickens and even a lamb.  
One Christmas you got a toolbox and I got a red sewing machine.  You asked if you could take the machine apart.  I said yes.  Although I don’t think it was ever put back together, I was never mad at you.  
You were always calm and level headed.  You set that tone with your beautiful family.  Your loving heart has left an imprint on everyone who has ever known you .  I am sad that you left this Earth, but thankful that the pain is over and you are in God’s loving arms.  Until we meet in Heaven.  Love you Brother Daryl. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time...please know we hold The Hajek Family up in prayer and close in our hearts.

I met Daryl through work and he was one of the first people I met from Victoria.  We immediately learned of our mutual love of hunting and the friendship, as well as our bond,  began. I have so many fond memories of time spent with Daryl on all our hunting trips that it would take days to write. The one thing Daryl liked to do during a hunting trip was have a Maker's Mark and seven to toast each trip.
 On the night I got the call of his passing I got out my Makers Mark and made a drink and started my toast to a great man who I was blessed to know and call my friend.  I  thanked God for giving us the opportunity of spending many hunting trips together but mostly our friendship. Then I told God I give Daryl the ultimate tribute:  HE WAS A TRUE BUDDY.  Daryl will be greatly missed by us all, but his memories will live on . GOD BLESS MY BUDDY.

I met Daryl when we worked for HRM for close to 20 years.   He always had a smile, so helpful and friendly.  He took the time to teach me about parts for Ajax compressors when I did inventories.  Such a kind and caring person.  Prayers for his family and may memories comfort all in the days and years to come.

Michelle, I am so sorry.  I remember the times we would come over to talk about the guys going hunting in Colorado or to see about Daryll doing the taxidermy on Jeff’s latest deer. I know you will miss him.   We have our good memories of their lives. God Bless you and your family. 

Daryl, was the sweetest man to work with. He always came into the OSC with a nice smile to talk with all of us whether it was work related or just casual conversation. He would explain anything you asked of him “what does this mean” he would take the time from his day. You are truly going to be missed my dear friend. May you Rest In Peace and look over us. xo 

Daryl was a very loving son that made the most of each day.  Extra work that he did in the evening he did with pleasure and it also sent his kids through college and what ever made life better for the family.  For all of this he will always be loved and missed by everyone..  Dear one RIP.


I have fond memories of visiting with Daryl growing up living just down the street. He always had a smile and loved to chat about whatever taxidermy project he was currently working on. He will be missed, prayers for your whole family in your time of loss. 

Darrell did not have enough time nor did we to get to know him but the time we visited with him at his sons wedding he was an enchanting,happy,  kind man who seemed so satisfied  with his life Proud of and crazy about his family  A example of a gentleman Peace and faith to his loved ones he will be waiting for you in Heaven

Nick and I are so very sorry to hear about Daryl. I pray each of you feel Gods loving arms around you and that he gives you strength and comfort.
