

David Harold Cline was born in Pearsall, TX, Nov 23, 1943. David went to be with his heavenly father on December 24, 2016. David leaves behind his cherished daughters, Michele Richard and Marcia Randolph (husband Lance) all of Stevenson, AL; sisters, Mary Cline Pustka (husband Dennis) of Montgomery, TX and Ann Wooley of Deming, NM; brother, Ed Gulley (wife Geri) of Magnolia, TX; step-daughters, Clara Wisofskys and Cynthia DeMoss; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Quinette Cline.
David loved the game of basketball and was very good at it. He was high point man in the district, was selected to all state his senior year and was a 1962 graduate of Victoria High School. He received a basketball scholarship to Southwest Texas, only played for a year and never got a chance to finish, which he regretted all his life. David proudly served 3 tours of Vietnam was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in Nov. 1972. He received Army Commendation medal, Good Conduct medal, Sharpshooter medal, Vietnam Service medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal.
David will be missed by his family and friends and now David, you will be free from all the pain and suffering you have had to go through these last years of your life, go rest high on that mountain, David, your work here on earth is done.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
