Delbert D. Woods Sr.

Delbert D. Woods, Sr., 78, of Cuero passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Cuero. Mr. Woods was born December 27, 1935 in Yoakum, to the late Henry William and Ninnie Castellow Woods. Delbert was retired from the US Army.

Survivors include his daughters, Maxine Howard of Corpus Christi, and Rebecca Barfield of Round Rock; sons, Delbert D. Woods, Jr. of Corpus Christi and Henry Woods of Cuero; sisters, Annie Laura Elliott of Bay City and Betty Huffman of Bay City, Texas; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pauline Woods, on August 21, 2012; brothers, Leslie Woods and Mason Woods; sisters, Ruby Weaver and Edith Tucker.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Hebron Baptist Church, 915 Hebron Church Road. The Rev. Frank Boldt will officiate the service and full military honors will be under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council at the Hebron Cemetery.
