Dolores Chavez Hernandez

Dolores Chavez Hernandez, 72, of Victoria, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home in Victoria. Dolores was born in Palacios, Texas, to Roberto and Josephina Chavez on November 18, 1953. She met and married the love of her life, Natividad Baladez Hernandez, and to this union, seven children were born. Natividad and Dolores enjoyed fifty-six years of wedded bliss.

In addition to her parents, Roberto and Josephina Chavez, Dolores is preceded in death by three siblings.

Dolores is survived by her loving husband, Natividad Baladez Hernandez, children, Lori Hernandez (Blas Montanez), Mary Hernandez, Elizabeth Hernandez (Erasmo Rodriguez), Natividad Hernandez, Jr., Rebecca Hernandez (Santos Ortiz), Natalie Marie Hernandez, and John Paul Chavez (Darlene Chavez), thirty grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, five siblings, and numerous extended family, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in the Regency Chapel. Rosary will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:15 pm, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm, all at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at San Jose Cemetery in Bloomington.

Honoring her by serving as Pallbearers will be Joseph Vasquez, Modesto Sarmiento, Marcos Sarmiento, Christian Hernandez, Javier Hernandez, Tommy Ramirez, and Luis Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Chavez, Noah Marquez, Bruno Sarmiento, Angel Galas, and Nicole Marie Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
