Dorothy Spikes Hoefer

Dorothy Spikes Hoefer, 96, of Victoria, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 3, 2025. Dorothy was born December 18, 1928, in Dodge, Texas, to the late Jeff Spikes and Ollie Ashley Spikes Keitel.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Claudia Crawford of San Antonio, TX, Karen Sanders of Kyle, TX; sister, Jackie Roark of Dodge, TX; grandchildren, Zachary Crawford, Tyson Crawford, Hughston Crawford, Wylie Crawford, Colin Lee and great-grandchildren, Kody Crawford, Indie Crawford, Jonah Crawford, Patrick Lee and Eleanor Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Hoefer; sisters, Ruby Steely, Pauline Anderson; brothers, Clyde “Buddy” Spikes, Richard Spikes, and Morris Spikes; and sons-in-law, Roger Crawford and Gene Sanders.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 9-10 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A funeral service will immediately follow at 10 AM.

Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at La Grange City Cemetery in La Grange, Texas.

Pallbearers are Tyson Crawford, Wylie Crawford, Jonah Crawford, Michael Sanders, Colin Lee, and Patrick Lee.

We would like to gratefully acknowledge the loving care that Mary Sanchez and Christine Sanchez provided for our Mom in her final years.
