Dorothy Nell Jones

Dorothy Nell Jones, 81, of Victoria went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. She was born July 22, 1934 in Cuero to Gabriel Charles and Nancy Pate Salles. Dorothy married the love of her life Frank “Bud” Jones on April 4, 1952. She devoted her life to her family and was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who held a strong and steadfast faith in God.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Marze, Barbara Jones, Betty Jo Mercado (Jesus), Lisa Bourland (Paul); grandchildren, Paul Schorlemmer (Crystal), Randall Schorlemmer (Amy), Amber Blevins, Cody Blevins, David Brandon Fraser (Chelsea), Casey Sean Garza, Patricia Hurst, Marcus Jones, Austin Bourland, Hunter Bourland, Faith Bourland and great grandchildren, Taylor Schorlemmer, Colton Schorlemmer, Jaxson Flanagan, Dottie Lu Blevins, Marley Jones, Oliver Jones, Lilly Jones: adopted son in Christ Ganesh Rajaratnam and two sisters, Julene (Fred) David and Betty (Gene) Brinkley. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Bud” Robert Jones in 2010; two sisters, five brothers and one great grandchild.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Hospice of South Texas for their guidance, support, compassion and loving care of our mother/grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A private family graveside service will take place at Mission Valley with Rev. Jack Bourland officiating.
