Douglas was very proud to be a dad and a grandfather. His family filled his life with abundant joy and together they were able to create a lifetime of memories. Everyday he made sure to let them know "Papaw" loved them. He was a hardworking man who love to have fun telling stories and playing games. Douglas was the type of man who would do anything for his family, friends and helped anyone how needed help.
Douglas did carpentry, designed and built homes. He retired as a civil engineer before he was called to be with the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Annette Repka Prukop; daughter Stacey Echols (Brandon) of San Antonio; son Kevin Prukop (Nicole) of Katy; brother Craig Prukop (Susan) of Inez and grandchildren, Brylee, Breyden, Brooke, Brynna, Kullen and Kaiden.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Annette Prukop and two brothers, Bradley Prukop and Paul Prukop.
