Eddy was a maintenance foreman for the Wood Group at Formosa. Eddy loved his two girls and was beyond proud of them daily, but his passion in life was being a Paw Paw to his four grandchildren.
Paw Paw came to all of his grandkids school and sporting events and was their biggest fan. He loved calling to tell them the latest “dad joke” he had heard.
Eddy loved to hunt, be outdoors and spend time with his family. He made a career in the oilfield for over 40 years beginning at the age of 19.
Above all this, his greatest love was his wife. They shared a love that would last a life time. You could always find them holding hands, dancing in the kitchen or out and about on their day dates.
He is survived by his wife, Nikita McMurray West; daughters Krista (Abe) Wilkerson of Victoria and Kaci (Justin) Matusevich of Inez; brother James West of Lueders, TX; grandchildren Kooper Wilkerson, Keith Matusevich, Karson Wilkerson, Kyler Matusevich and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank Stevens Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services are 2 pm Saturday at Rosewood with Pastor Mike Hurt officiating with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kooper Wilkerson, Kody Whaley, Josh McMurray, Francisco Bueno, Carl Cobern and Spenser Lassman. Honorary pallbearers will be Abe Wilkerson, Justin Matusevich, Keith Matusevich, Karson Wilkerson, Kyler Matusevich, Klate Graham, Keith Knox, Reagan McMurray, Braxton McMurray, Chris Fikes, Olefins II Unit and the Olefins Turnaround Crew.
