Eliseo C. "Alex" Rios

Eliseo C. Rios, 63 of Victoria. "Popo" passed away June 7, 2015. He was born in Yorktown on April 12, 1952. He was a minister for 25 years and pastored at Monte Horeb in Yorktown. His faith never wavered and carried him through many life struggles. He impacted many hearts and lives around him.

He was a loving husband to Elsie Salinas Rios, for 6 years. He was a devoted father to son, Eliseo Rios Jr., and daughters, Rachael De La Garza, Rebecca De La Vega and Ruth Rios.

He was a wonderful "Popo" to 10 grandchildren, Nelinda De La Garza, Ricardo De La Vega III, Orlando Rodriguez, Elisha De La Garza, Angelo Rodriguez, Raquel De La Vega, Martin E. De La Garza Jr., Eliseo Rios III, Jane Rios, and Janette Rios.

He cherished the time he had with his great grandchildren, Balen Cade Rodriguez and Leighton Alexis Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years Mary Jane Rios, his mother, Angelita Rios, his father Sixto Rios, and his sister, Delfina Alvarez.

Pallbearers are: Martin De La Garza, Ricardo De La Vega, Jr., Ricardo De La Vega, III, Elisha De La Garza, Fernando Alvarez, Eugene Gutierrez.

The family welcomes you for the funeral service at Rosewood Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Graveside service will be at the Yorktown Community Cemetery at 11:00AM Thursday, June 11, 2015. Family and friends will gather to celebrate "Alex's" life and share a meal at Jerusalem Family Praise Center Annex immediatley following the burial.
