Elton Lee Jones

Victoria – Elton Lee Jones, 77, of Victoria, formerly of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away Monday, July 13th, 2015. He was born January 11th, 1938 in Johnston County, North Carolina to the late Reuben Leo Jones and the late Alma Edna Langdon Jones. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Barbara Zettel Jones who was the love of his life; son Jeffrey Lee Jones of Austin, and daughters Rebecca Lee Jones of Shreveport; Kimberly Jones Hoffman and husband Jason of Atlanta; Amy Jones Sanchez and fiancé Julius Whitby of Victoria; and Elizabeth Jones Cotten and husband Chris of Austin. He is the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Ty Elizabeth Moreno Martinez, Angelita Michelle Moreno, Ronni Nicole Hendrickson, Ava Clair Hoffman, Lilly Grace Hoffman, Jessica Nicole Sanchez, Evelyn Marie Sanchez, Zachary Lee Sanchez, Dominic Frank Sanchez, Jonathan Aaron Cotten and Christian James Cotten. He is also survived by brother Jerry Thomas Jones, and sister Mary Belle Cordrey both of North Carolina.

Elton led a full life including serving his country in the US Army, a long successful career of 32 years with Inteplast Corporation which he retired from in 2005, and being a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held Thursday July 16th, 2015 from 6-7pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels on Mockingbird Lane. Funeral services will be held Friday July 17th, 2015 at 2:00pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, with a Flag Folding Ceremony under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.
