Ernest Martinez Jr.

Ernest Martinez Jr., age 65, of Victoria, Texas passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born May 19, 1956 in Victoria, TX to Ernest Martinez Sr and Esther Hernandez Martinez. Ernest was a driver for HEB retiring after 22 years of service and dedication.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Hernandez Martinez; wife, Mary Trevino Martinez; daughters, Stephanie Rosas and husband, Jason, Cindy Longoria and husband, Lorenzo; son, Ernest Martinez III all of Victoria; sisters, Minnie Gutierrez of Edna, Mary Jane Martinez of Victoria, Esther Hernandez of Victoria, Susie Chavez of Bloomington; brothers, Alfred Martinez of Pflugerville, Frank Martinez of Hutto and grandchildren, Lorenzo, Anthony, Alex, Jaden, Jaycob and Jordan.

In addition to his father, Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Martinez.

A visitation for Ernest will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 3304 Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, TX. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 208 W. River, Victoria, TX.

Ernest will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Laurent & Mockingbird , Victoria, TX.

Serving as pallbearers are Lorenzo Longoria Jr., Ernest Martinez III, Jason Rosas, Lorenzo Longoria III, Anthony Martinez, Alex Longoria, Jaden Rosas, Jordan Martinez, Alfred Hernandez, Frank Martinez and Jaycob Longoria.
