Eugene Anton Rehak, 92, of Victoria, passed away August 22, 2024. Eugene was born September 24, 1931, in Moulton, Texas to the late Emma Fila and Anton Rehak. Eugene served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. Eugene retired from Alcoa after 30 years. Eugene was a Cub Scout Master for 5 years when his sons were growing up. He was an usher for 50 years at Holy Family Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister and worked in the hospital ministry for 20 years.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rehak; son, James Rehak and wife, Jean of Victoria; son-in-law Billy Ethridge of San Antonio; son, David Rehak and wife, Melanie of Victoria; daughter, Sharon Leshikar of Houston; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Ethridge; brothers, George, Leroy, and Anton Jr. Rehak and grandson, Brian Rehak
Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council to follow mass. Burial to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Rehak, Paul Rehak, Stephen Ethridge, Kevin Ethridge, Trey Hicks, Parker Rehak Zachary Ethridge and Wyatt Ethridge.
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Trojcak and Michael Trojcak.
