

Fred Kaspar, Jr., 65, of Victoria passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015. He was born in El Campo, TX on June 17, 1950 to the late Frederick B. and Cecelia Rozner Kaspar. Fred graduated from Ganado High School in 1968 an attended Texas A & I University on a full football scholarship, where he helped achieve a National Championship in 1970 for the Javelina Football Team. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Fred will be loved and remembered as a coach and teacher in the Corpus Christi and Victoria School Districts.
Fred is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Deborah Stuart Kaspar; daughters, Joni Mitchell of Victoria, Jo Dee Wells of Hutto, TX; son, Clifton Mitchell of Victoria; eight grandchildren; sisters, Cecilia French of Ganado, Rosalie Duplessis of Corpus Christi and Florence Herb of Houston.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Hausler and a brother, Frank Kaspar.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a time of sharing to begin at 7 PM. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10 AM with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Shawn Moon, Mark Spears, Matthew Hausler, Chris Williams, Mike Orsak, Pat Orsak and Syl Hajovsky.
