

Fred A. Neumann, Jr., 89 of Victoria passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was born February 19, 1925 in Victoria, TX to the late Frederick Albert Neumann, Sr. and Mary Jane Farley Neumann. Proudly serving his country, Fred was a veteran of World War II in U.S. Army in field artillery. He was the owner and operator of Neumann’s Food Store for fifty-three years, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Margie Conti Neumann of Victoria; daughter, Mary and husband, Charles Mata of Pensacola, Florida; son, Mike Neumann of Victoria and two grandchildren, Jacob and Taya Mata.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Neumann was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Marie Neumann and a brother, Cecil Neumann.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with The Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Seivers, Joe Conti, Jr., Donald Shellenbarger, Charles Mata, Jacob Mata and Mike Gomez.
