

Geneva Logeais, age 87, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born March 17, 1925 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Luther and Mary Parker. She was the owner of G & L Enterprise, and a waitress for several years. Geneva was a member of the Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church. She was a former member of several Clogging groups. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her Family.
She is survived by her loving companion of 20 years, Jimmie Barta; daughters, Mary (Tommy) Gomez and Kathy (Walter) Blevins, and Sharon L. Shafer; sisters, Cleo Eddins of Pensacola, Florida and Peggy Ewing of Victoria; 6 grandchildren: Dawn (Tim) Collins, Dana (Jason) Carver, Jackie Pagel, Lindy Blevins, Paul Blevins, and Jennifer (Jason) Wood; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frenchie Logeais; brother, Edward Parker; and grandson, Alex Ray Gomez.
Visitation will be held 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Friday, November 23, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nick Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Gomez, Walter Blevins, Jason Carver, Travis Collins, Thomas Gomez, and Harvey Pagel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church or Hospice of South Texas.
