Gloria G. Galvan a long time resident of Bloomington Tx, born in Marlin Tx, to the late Vicente and Juanita Garcia was called home to her Lord and Savior on December 24th, 2023 at the age of 72. She was both an active member of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bloomington, and the Guadalupana’s Organization. She married the love of her life Robert Galvan Sr. to which they raised a wonderful family of a son Robert Galvan Jr(deceased), two daughters Jessica Juárez and Tess Lerma, and later raising Kayden Galvan. She held a great passions for her long time career of 50 years as a hair stylist, going camping, going on cruises, and the occasional travel to Walt Disney world in Florida. Gloria was shining example of someone who could light up a room with her smile which was always adorned by her signature red lipstick. Gloria was a loving daughter and sister who blossomed into an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was loved by all family members, and preciously called by many names being Memo, Gigi, and Yaya.
Gloria G. Galvan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Galvan Sr.; son, Robert Galvan Jr.; parents, Vicente Sr and Juanita Garcia; brother, Jesse Garcia, brother, Vicente Garcia Jr.(survived wife, Sophie) and sister, Yolanda Garcia.
She was survived by daughters, Jessica Juárez (husband, Chris), Tess Lerma(husband Robert); son Kayden Galvan; grandchildren, Adrian Galvan, Alexandria Galvan, Kira Getz (husband, Travis), Krista Juárez Earley (husband, Chris), Kristanna Juárez, Jaclyn Lerma; great grandchildren Gavin Galvan, Naviana Earley, Nova Getz. Also survived by brothers and sisters Clemente Z. Garcia (wife, Maria) Tony Z. Garcia (wife, Rosemary), Penny Z. Garcia(wife Cecilia), Velma Cantù (husband, Javier), Alice S. Garcia, Josie S. Lara (husband, Fabian), Lupe S. Smalley, Joe Alfred Garcia, Sylvester Garcia (wife, Monica), Edward Garcia (wife, Melanie), and many nephews, nieces, and greats of those.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9-9:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 am. Mass will immediately follow at 10 am.
Pallbearers are Gloria’s brothers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
