Glyner June Griffin

Glyner June Griffin, 81, of Spring passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. She was born June 10, 1933 in Mississippi to the late Amzie Felbert Burns and Katie Lenora Burns. She was an Ombudsman and homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Wood of San Antonio; son, Glenn Ervin (Karen) Griffin of Montgomery; sister, Clara Quinette Burns Kline of Victoria; grandchildren, James Corey Griffin, Alicia Dell (Travis) Prestridge, James Caleb Rankin, Nicholas Griffin Rankin (Travis Wiemers), Glenda Dawn (Robert) Guimbellot, Kevin Scott Kloesel, Gregg Eric Griffin; and great grandchildren, Jarred Kain Griffin, Hunter Dale Guimbellot and Khloe Marie Kloesel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ervin Griffin; son-in-law, Daniel Wayne Wood; sisters, Mary Mozell Casey, Zula Mae Vowell, Robbie Sue Wilburn, Julia Kathryn Vowell and Edna Lorene Gunter; and one brother, Roy Ezell Burns.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, November 14, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Dr. Kim Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Corey Griffin, James Caleb Rankin, Nicholas Griffin Rankin, Kevin Scott Kloesel, Gregg Eric Griffin and Jarred Kain Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Dale Guimbellot, Khloe Marie Kloesel, Troy Howard, James V. Marcellus, Herbert Wesley Taylor, Jarred Kain Griffin, Travis Wiemers, Mattie Marcellus, Sarah Geistman, Linda Howard, Robbie Gomillian, Clara Wisofsky, Cynthia DeMoss and Delsie Marsh.
