

Herman S. Kucera, 69, of Victoria passed away Sunday, March 04, 2012. He was born August 28, 1942, in Jackson County to Ellen Venglar Kucera and the late John E. Kucera. Herman was a family man who truly loved his wife, kids and their families. His granddaughter was the love and light of his life. He was a dedicated employee of Safety Steel, retiring after 42 years of service during which he may have missed one day of work. He loved spending time outdoors camping and fishing, and delighted in solving all the world’s problems at the Kucera Shop.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Matula Kucera of Victoria; mother, Ellen Kucera of Edna; daughter, Tracey Kreifels and her husband, Vincent; sons, Neil Kucera and his wife, Nora, and Casey Kucera and his wife, Kelly all of Victoria; brother, Charles Kucera and his wife, Billie of Inez; granddaughter, Braiden Kucera, of Victoria.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Hyde; brothers, Clarence, Billy Joe and Larry Kucera.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rev. Celestino Say officiating. Burial will follow in Shillerville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Matula, Alan Matula, Troy Kucera, Trenton Kucera, Richard Spence, Colin Schneider, Wade Shumbera, Casey Harris, Jason Schneider and Coleby Becker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Hamman, Dustin Balfanz, Scott Wideman, Heath Spence and all friends and family at the Kucera Shop.
