

James Leo “Jimmy” Frazier, 87, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, after a sudden illness. He was born September 14, 1924, in Koerth to the late Leo and Ima Hagan Frazier. Jimmy served in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married Alice Flessner on November 22, 1947, in Sweet Home, and they celebrated 52 years together before her passing in 1999. Jimmy worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1329, a member of the Serra Club and a volunteer at Citizens Medical Center.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Wenske (Leroy); son, Gary (Virginia) Frazier, all of Victoria; grandsons, Kevin Wenske of Austin, and Nathan Frazier of Amarillo; granddaughters, Kelly Wenske Warren of Austin and Natalie Frazier Plavney of Houston; step-granddaughter, Amy Raven of Victoria; three great-granddaughters; two step great-granddaughters; two step great-grandsons; friend, Agnes Bochat White.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Flessner Frazier; brother, Glynn Frazier; son, Daniel Frazier; daughter-in-law, Sally Goodwin Frazier; grandson, John Michael Frazier.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm Friday, August 3, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rev. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Wenske, Nathan Frazier, Philip Warren, Mike Miller, Steve Hebert and Joe Jurica.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Maikoetter, Pat Tagliabue, Al Seifert, John Hardegree, Paul Drake and residents of Copperfield Village.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Drive, Victoria, Texas, 77904, Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust, Victoria, Texas, 77901, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ed Ferrell, Dr. Shahid Hashmi, Dr. Ty Meyer and all the medical staff at Citizens Hospital MICU.
