James Ernest Leeper, 93, of Victoria, passed away July 28, 2018. He was born September 12, 1924 to Gen. Ernest Dixon Leeper and Carrie Melissa Sparks Leeper. James owned Leeper Water Well Service and served in the US Army during WWII. His retirement activities included gardening, hunting, fishing, and dancing.
He is survived by his nieces, Sharon Kinsfather of Lolita and Jeanette Keller of Mobile, AL; nephews, William W. "Bill" Hunt, Jr. of Ganado, Dennis Hunt of Lolita, Jesse Hunt of Port O'Connor, James Hunt of Edna and Aaron Blevins of Port Lavaca.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Willoughby Leeper; parents; and sisters, Evelyn Hunt and Altah Marjorie Blevins.
Graveside services will be at Memory Gardens in Victoria on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Delano Kinsfather officiating.
