Jesse Floyd Beams, 80, of Victoria, passed away August 31, 2018 surrounded by his loving daughters. Jesse was born February 7, 1938 in Victoria to the late Levi Lee and Dollye Tigner Beams. Jesse retired from Sun Oil as a foreman. After his retirement he became a bus driver for 14 years for V.I.S.D. He was a wood turner and made beautiful bowls, boxes and furniture. Jesse also enjoyed tending to his garden for many years. But his biggest joy was his grandchildren who were the “apple of his eye”.
Jesse is survived by his daughters; Brenda Beams of Austin, Becky Kubicek (Stan) of Brenham, Jo Beth Jones of Victoria; his grandchildren; Skylar Jones, Eli Kubicek and brother, Joe Beams (Betty) of Luling, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn Jo Beams; sisters, Mary Seims, Janice Crouch and brother, Leslie Lynn Beams.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11 AM at Sharp Cemetery near Rockdale, Texas.
