JoAnn Guzman Dominguez, 87, of Victoria, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was born in Beeville, Texas to Jose Guzman and Anita Guzman on May 10, 1937. JoAnn was passionate about nursing, she loved talking and making new friends, dressing up in her unique way with hats, bracelets, rings, and driving her black Lincoln. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking and drinking coffee with her friends.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her sister, Estella “Linda” Ramos, and brothers, Steve Guzman, Joe Guzman, Raymond Guzman, Jasper Ray Guzman, and Gilbert Guzman.
JoAnn is survived by daughters, Elizabeth “Libby” Dominguez (Belarmino Cruz), Jane “Gina” Villarreal (Tommy), Rosemary “Rhodie” Tooker, and Janie Robles, son, Joseph Dominguez, Sr. (Lynda), brother, Jesse Guzman, sister, Brenda Cabrera, five grandsons, six great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm, followed by reciting of the Rosary at 1:30 pm, and Mass of Christian Burial at 2 pm, all at Our Lady of Victory. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
Honoring her by serving as Pallbearers will be Bryan Dominguez, Daniel Namyat, Zachry Namyat, Manny Garcia, Jr., Belarmino Cruz, and Jesse Guzman. Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Villarreal, Joseph Dominguez, Jr., and Raustin Namyat.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Lady of Victory.
