

John F. Lawlor was born on December 20th 1971 at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital in Ogden, Utah to Francis (Frank) John Lawlor, Jr. and Gloria J. Lawlor.
Raised in an Air Force family, John lived and attended schools in several states, including Illinois, New Mexico and Texas. He graduated from Burkburnett High School in Burkburnett, Texas.
On May 7, 2010 John married the woman that he claimed as a soul-mate, Sue (Radford) Lawlor. John was very happy and looked forward to building a future with Sue. John loved his wife and new family.
John was capable with his hands and loved to work on cars. He also had a desire to get his Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and become an over the road truck driver. This he did and worked for several companies. John was known to say that he was his happiest when he was driving a truck.
John was a kind and gentle soul sometimes masked by a tough outer shell. He expressed love and experienced grief deeper than most and did his best to keep going when times got tough. John loved his family deeply and cared for others.
John will be remembered as a man that liked to laugh and make others laugh. A practical joke or a funny tale were never far away when John came around. He was and still is loved by those that knew him, especially his family. John is gone from this earth, but never will be forgotten. When you think of him, please smile.
John was preceded in death by his father, Francis (Frank) J. Lawlor, Jr., on October 12, 2008.
John is survived by his wife, Sue Lawlor of Victoria; step-son, Cody Shannon, mother-in-law, Wanda McNelly of Victoria; mother, Gloria J. Lawlor of Victoria; brother, Michael Lawlor and wife, Terry of Yukon, OK; sister, Donna Bugos and husband, Rob of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Katherine Olds and husband, Brandon of Round Rock, TX; nephews, Billy Hammond, Wesley Hammond , Jacob Bugos all of Rio Rancho, NM, Bailey Olds of Round Rock, TX; nieces, Chelcie Hammond, Allyson Bugos of Rio Rancho, NM, and Megan Olds of Round Rock, TX.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 2 PM on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Damand Hillard, Robert Yeoman, Wendell Cummings, Otoniel Ruiz, Wesley Hammond and Brandon Olds.
Honorary pallbearers are Glen Hicks and Lisa McLean.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
