Just yesterday, everyone came together in unity to say goodbye and begin a new phase of their lives as we accepted your demise in both spirit and memory.  You were such an amazing and remarkable man who was an inspiration to me and everyone who knew you.  I so loved how you were devoted to your family, friends, and possessed a multitude of talents.  My earliest memories with you were going to see "Donny & Marie Osmond" at the Astrodome - and you thought she was so pretty.  I also remember you taking us to that honky-tonk bar with the corrugated steel roof that housed the mechanical bull somewhere in Pasadena.  Sound familiar?  I didn't have a nice shirt to wear, but you loaned me one of yours because you didn't want me to be left out.  During our last visit, you could have stayed anywhere in Los Angeles, but you chose to stay at my place. I thoroughly enjoyed your visit, walking to Starbuck's every morning, the Farmer's Market at the Grove (not 1, but 4 times!), and going to see "The Avengers" film, making Olga watch it with us.  And since I couldn't afford a Harley-Davidson, I mentioned about purchasing an Italian Vespa instead.  You were the last one who told me that it was perfect for me and it was all I needed to zoom around LA and so I made that purchase.  You were so genuine, humble, real and cerebral, and as long as I can remember, you always included and treated me with the utmost respect.  And for that, I thank you so much.  I too will miss you terribly.  We will always feel you around us sometimes but just wish we could have spent more time together before you left forever.  I still wanted to thank you for so much and didn't want to say goodbye yesterday, but I thank God for the time that we were able to spend together and for the wonderful memories. May your soul rest in peace, your spirit will always live on, and your light will always shine ..... Your cousin "Jack"

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss of John. I’m at a loss for words.

We of course worked together & I helped you get the job at Continental Airlines where you & I worked for many years.

This was our first trip we took to Sturgis in 2013, John and Olga were the travel coordinators and he made sure we got to see it all.  We made a lot of good memories on this trip.

I was attending my Mother’s funeral when I heard of John’s passing. I’m very saddened and feel for all who knew him and loved him. I worked with John at Shell from 1980 till 2012. A better person you couldn’t find. I can’t say enough about this awesome man. He will be greatly missed. May he Rest In Peace.  Our thoughts and prayers for his entire family. God bless!

I married Ellie in 2011 and inherited her friends Olga and John Lopez.  I knew from the day he drove all the way to Beaumont after Ellie called Olga to tell her that we bought a Harley.  He bought me my first Riding Bell and we have been riding since that day he started calling me his Wingman.   We have taken vacations trips together, Texan Games, Weekend getaways and meeting for dinners or breakfast once a week.  We are going to miss him so much.   Rest In Peace brother from your Wingmen 

John was an awesome guy to work with.  Deepest sympathy and love to his family.
