June C. Preiss

June C. Preiss, loving mother, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the age of 76. She was born February 3, 1942 in Victoria to the late Merle and Margaret Broussard Herring. She was a homemaker and a life long Catholic.

June is survived by her son, Thomas W. Preiss of Victoria; grandchildren, Cooper Preiss and Parker Preiss; and cousin, Louise O’Connor of Victoria. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert “Woody” Preiss Jr.

A Rosary, led by Deacon Jim Koenig, was recited at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Private burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Tommy Tijerina, Chris Bludau, Darren Etlinger, Matthew Bryarly, Thomas Respondek and Tyler Ricotelli served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Bland and the Nazareth Academy Class of 1960.

Contributions in June’s memory may be made to St. Joseph High School or Nazareth Academy.
