Kenneth Ray Roberts

Kenneth Ray Roberts, 74, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. He was born August 17, 1937, in Coryell County to the late Jim Ed Roberts and Gladys Kemp Roberts. He married Ruth Ann Warren November 20, 1959. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1960, and was stationed in Germany and Turkey. He moved to Victoria in 1969 and worked as a sub-office manager for NCR. He retired from the oilfield business, which he loved, after many years. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with family, friends, playing the guitar, and singing gospel songs.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Roberts; son, Danny Roberts (wife Elizabeth); grandson, Benjamin and granddaughter, Kathleen; daughter, Donna Roberts Hagel (husband John); grandsons, Justin and Jared, and granddaughter Jana; sister, Evelyn McDonald from Portland; and brother, Richard Roberts from Corpus Christi.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Wood Hi Cemetery with Jerry Roberts & Bob Byrd officiating. Flag folding will be conducted under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Harold Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas, American Cancer Society, or Victoria Veterans Council.
