Ky spent much of his early life working alongside his father in physical therapy, helping others with quiet strength and compassion. He later pursued his passion for golf, graduating from golf school and enjoying countless sunny days on the course, doing what he loved. In recent years, Ky found joy in assisting his sister with catering events, bringing his signature kindness and humor wherever he went.
He was a true lover of people and animals—there wasn’t a person he didn’t greet with a smile, a hand he wouldn’t offer in help, or a dog he wouldn’t pull into a loving embrace. Ky had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and cherished. He left everyone a little brighter just by being himself.
Ky is survived by his sister, Tonja Patterson, and his beloved nieces, Lily Patterson and Aubrey Patterson Daspit. While his passing leaves an unfillable space in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing he is reunited with his dear sister, Dawn and their parents, Jerry and Annette Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Huvar's Artisan Restaurant on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
He will be remembered always—for his big heart, his easy smile, and the love he shared so freely. We will miss him more than words can say.
Memorial donations may be made in Ky’s name to Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center or The Texas Zoo.
