Larry K. Newman

Larry K. Newman, lifelong resident of Victoria, Texas died April 27, 2017. He was born August 10, 1940 to the late Lola Copley Newman Felder and Elmo Newman. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stephanie Kirkpatrick. Larry is survived by his wife, Billye Newman, his daughter, Cynthia Kirkpatrick, his son, Kent Newman and wife, Beth, and his grandson, Dean Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Newman started his career at the Victoria Advocate. He also worked at the DuPont Chemical Plant and was the owner of the Woodlawn Bowling Center and Tennis Only. He finished his career as an agent for Farmers Insurance Group. Mr. Newman also served on the Victoria Parks and Recreation Board and had a great love of tennis. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors.

His family would like to thank his caretaker, Charlotte Dick and the staff of the Hospice of South Texas who helped him spend his final days in the comfort of his own home.
