Linda K. Ashmore, 70, of Goliad, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at her home in Goliad. She was born on February 23, 1951 in Portland, Indiana to Marciel Bailey Robinette and the late Kenneth Robinette. She worked at Acres of Animals for many years, as well as cared for many animals throughout the community, and was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Mark S. Ashmore; mother, Marciel Bailey Robinette; daughter, Heather Michelle Wallace (Shawn Ross); sons, Bradley Dean Spillman, and Kerry W. Spillman (Linda Duvall); sister, Roxann Robinette Dawson (Michael); brothers, Ric Robinette, and Ted Robinette. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth “Monk” Robinette Jr.; daughter, Dawn Monique Spillman; and son, Timothy Allen Spillman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, immediately followed by interment at Mission Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
