Linda S. Powell

born November 4, 1950 in Olney, Texas to Joyce Mullinax Ballard and the late Don

Ballard.

Linda was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with

family and friends, and taking care of her beloved cats. She was an avid reader and

always had a good book by her side. She also loved to garden with her late husband,

Phil. She was loved very much and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Chamrad of Houston; mother, Joyce Ballard of

Victoria; sister, Cindy Sewell and husband, Jack of Bryan; and longtime dear friend,

Mary Meier.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Powell.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at Rosewood

Funeral Chapels, Rev. J. V. Helms officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Berrones, Greg Ganem, Joey Ganem, Jack Sewell

and Reuben James.
