Lydia M. Ekstrom, 88, of Inez, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born March 14, 1925, in Frankfurt, Germany, to the late Balthasar and Wilhelmina Geiline Launspach. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include son, Werner Paul Ekstrom of Inez; her daughter, Pauline Lassmann and husband, John of Victoria; sister, Elsi Hartmaier of Anaheim, California; brother, Werner Launspach of Mammoth Mountain Lakes, California; two grandchildren, Eric L. Ekstrom and Amber M. Fikac Benedict; five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ekstrom, and an infant son, Paul E. Ekstrom.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Rev. Larry Green officiating. Mrs. Ekstrom’s remains will be interred in California at a later date.
