Margaret L. Easley

Margaret L. Easley, 86, of Victoria, passed away April 28, 2016. She was born May 6, 1929 in Victoria to the late Valley Ley and Mary Bryan Ley. She married Donald Ray Easley in 1949. They opened Easley Insurance in 1953 and retired in 1991. Margaret was a VISD Board of Trustee from 1991 to 1997. She was an active member of the Jaycee-ettes, serving as both Victoria Jaycee-ette President and the Texas state President, The Pilot Club and Our Lady of Victory Church. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BBA in business.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Don, and they were married 66 years; daughters, Brigette Rokovich and Donna Doane, both of Victoria; son, Michael Easley of Houston; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Robert Easley; brother, John C. Ley; son-in-law, Michael Rokovich; and a grandson, Bryan Doane.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a Rosary to follow at 7 pm Sunday, May 1, 2016. Funeral mass will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Sean Easley, Austin Rokovich, Andrew Rokovich, Herrick Easley, John Doane and Mark Doane.
