Margarette Maresh

Margarette Maresh, 89 of Austwell passed away April 5, 2014. She was born August 10, 1924 in Flatonia to the late Alfred and Anna Andres Steinhauser. Mrs. Maresh was a secretary for many years at the Austwell Coop Grain Elevator and was an agent for Hocheim Prairie. She was a den mother for the cub scouts, made sandwiches for the basketball team and was well known for her kolaches. She was a seimtress and sewed clothes for many people.

She is survived by her daughters Betty Hattan of Victoria and Charlotte Loughman of Tivoli; sister Elizabeth Gosch of Lockhart; grandchildren Richard and Michael Loughman, Russell and Kelly Lee, Tiffany and Seth Hattan and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rudie Maresh; daughter Linda Lee and son Fred Maresh; sister Esther Northy and brother Edgar Steinhauser.

The family will receive friends Wednesday April 9, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be Thursday April 10, 2014 at 10 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Graveside will follow at 1 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Moulton, Texas.
