Maria Balerio

Maria Balerio, 91, of Victoria passed away January 2, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born May 8, 1921, to Eloisa Muniz and Dolores Muniz in Three Rivers, Texas. She married Fernando Balerio on September 21, 1937. They were married for 67 years. Maria was a devoted Christian, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, daughter, Lucy Valadez, sons, Erasmo Balerio and Eliseo Balerio.

She is survived by her six daughters, Mary Helen Coronado, Eva Perez, Estela Hernandez, Esther De La Garza (Israel), Rosie Valderrama (Mingo) and Rachel Duran; sons, Edward Balerio (Marta) and Rogelio Balerio (Benilde); 29 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

A family viewing will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a prayer service to begin at 7 pm. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stephen, Gary, Joe, Ray, Rene, Jon, Ruben and Rito. Honorary pallbearers are Jordn, Joe Jr., Xavier, Jalen and Stephen, Jr.
