Maria Esther Galvan Gonzalez

Maria Esther Gonzalez, 73, of Victoria passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was born February 5, 1942 in Robstown, TX to the late Santiago and Maria Esther Jimenez Galvan. She was raised in Kingsville, TX and graduated from Kingsville High School. Mrs. Gonzalez was a secretary in the Administration Building for VISD for twenty-five years and an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She valued, family, friends, education and above all – faith, hope, and love.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Gonzalez; daughter, Maria E. Barrington and husband, Bryan; son, Juan M. Gonzalez; sister, Esperanza Ruiz; brothers, Braulio Galvan and Juan Galvan and five grandchildren, Broderic Gonzalez, Aric Gonzalez, Luke Barrington, Sarah Barrington and Audrey Bone.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 6-7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home with a rosary to be led by Deacon Steve Borowicz at 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Morales and Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Rodolfo Ruiz, Antonio Ruiz, Francisco Ruiz, Bobby Galvan, Santiago Galvan, Juan Galvan, Jr., Albert Gonzalez, David Gonzalez, and Christopher Garcia.

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
