Maria Cordova Villa

Maria Cordova Villa, 80, of Victoria, formerly of Nixon, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013. She was born July 15, 1933, in Cuero to the late Sabas and Juanita DeLeon Cordova. She was a retired factory worker.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Ann Villa (Johnny Sr.) Cardenas of Cuero, Susan Jane Villa (Andres Jr.) Valdes, Serena Lee (Gilbert Jr.) Cortinas; sons, Juan Armando (Diana) Villa, Sr. and Larry Villa; sisters, Feliciana Kunns all of Victoria, Dora Torrez of Angleton and Susie Villa of Austin; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Erasmo G. Villa, two infant sons, three brothers and three grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, October 28, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Juan J. Laguna Sr., Carlos A. Laguna, Gilbert Cortinas III, Justin R. Vasquez, Julian N. Villa-Price, Jonathan Cavazos, Jr., Joe B. Martinez Jr. and Manuel Martinez IV.

Honorary Pallbearers: All Great-Granddaughters.
