M. Antonette “Toni” Rivera, 55, of Victoria passed away January 2, 2011. She was born May 13, 1955, in El Paso to Adela Garcia Rivera of El Paso and the late Antonio Rivera. Toni was a retired teacher with Victoria Independent School District and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
In addition to her mother survivors include daughters, Melinda Ann Contreras-Garza and husband, Jose “Joe“ Luis Garza III, Adrianna Mae Contreras-Cruz and husband, Ruben Cruz; sisters, Adele M. Vasquez and husband, Roberto, Angelica M. Morales and husband, Jesus; brother, Manuel A. Rivera and wife, Lynnette; nieces and nephews, Amanda M. Vasquez, Jesus G. Morales, Marcella M. Rivera, Fabian A. Morales (godson), Ariana A. Rivera (goddaughter); grandsons, Joseph M. Deleon, Jr., and Nicholas J. Deleon.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with a mass to follow at 10 am.
