Nancy Jo Russell Putnam Reichardt

She was born January 28, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to Paul Russell and Ruth Prewitt Russell. She graduated and received her RN license from Herman Hospital School of Nursing and became active in several phases of nursing including Research Assistant with the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine. She later attended the University of Houston, School of Nursing, and became a nursing instructor with the Houston Memorial Hospital system.

She married Frank A. Putnam II in Houston, Texas in 1946 with whom she nurtured their 4 children.

In 1972 she married Henry C. Reichardt of Port Lavaca, Texas and several years later they moved to Victoria, Texas and were active in the real estate arena. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, First English Lutheran Church Women’s Circle and Victoria Garden Club.

Preceded in death by parents, brother, Dennis E. Russell of Houston, Texas, first husband Frank A. Putnam II and second husband, Henry C. Reichardt. She is survived by Sons, Frank A. Putnam III and wife, Lola of Eatonville, WA and Paul T. Putnam and wife, Lisa of Victoria, Texas; Daughters, Jeanne Putnam Watts of Victoria, Texas and Mary Anne Putnam-Lee and husband Andrew of Gonzales, Texas; Step-Daughter Cindy Reichardt Brown of Kenai, Alaska; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The Family will receive Friends on Monday, March 24, from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 2pm at Colonial Funeral Home, Pastor Jim Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearerswill be her sons, Frank A. Putnam III and Paul T. Putnam;grandsons, Alan Wade Sarvis, Michael Ray Watts, Christian L. Watts and Nephew, Dennis Russell. Honorary Pallbearers will be her greatgrandsons, Dylan Landry, Evan Sarvis, Taylor Watts, Gabriel Watts, Knud Peter Hermansen and Kirk Putnam Sayler.

Memorials may be made to First English Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hospice of South Texas.
