Luther Nash Henderson, 81, of Victoria, passed away surrounded by his family on August 13, 2018. Nash was born July 13, 1937 in Converse, Louisiana to the late Phoenix Arden and Lillian Julia Hilton Henderson. Nash retired from Occidental Petroleum after 40 years of service and then continued as a consultant for the oilfield for another 15 years. Nash enjoyed hunting, playing golf, wine making, gardening and just being with his friends. Nash was also a member of First Baptist Church in Port Lavaca since 1974. He adored his family and grandchildren.
Nash is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Deane Moses Henderson; daughters, Vicki Dean Guerrero and husband, Alonzo of Houston, Cindi Renee Henderson of Victoria; son, Phoenix “Rusty” Nash Henderson of Victoria; grandchildren, Brandee Renee Bialek Hill, Amber Nicole Henderson and great-grandchildren, Ethan Hargrove and Olivia and Sarah Hill.
A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 12-2 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2 PM. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Port Lavaca.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Swoboda, J.D. Dickerson, Eric Hargrove, Keith Blundell, Kenneth Wenske and Ethan Hargrove.
