

Paula Pearsall, of Victoria, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2010. Born January 1, 1926, in Lovington, New Mexico, to Errett and Gladys Parsons, she grew up among six children. Sisters, Frances Mitchell, Myrna McCall, and Mary Mautone preceded her to a new life. Remaining are brother, Don Parsons, and his wife, Jean, of Ruidosa, New Mexico, sister, Virginia Smith, of Seagoville, Texas, and a sister-in-law, Roberta Shrauner, of Elkhart, Kansas.
She was married to Paul Pearsall of Ford, Kansas, in 1945. They celebrated 63 years of marriage together before he left this world. Known as “Paul and Paula”, they made an outstanding couple, enjoying friends, family, and church. Having people into their home was a shared pleasure, and someone was usually visiting.
Paula was preceded in death by her son, Rod Pearsall, and a granddaughter, Melora Newman. She leaves behind a daughter, Karen Polasek, a grandson, John Clay Newman, and a great-grandson, Jaryn Newman. She also leaves behind numerous friends and family across a number of states.
Paula Pearsall--often referred to as “an inspiration” for the way she led a happy life amidst physical adversities. Remembered for her favorite quote, “Attitude is more important than the circumstance.” Known for her faith in Jesus Christ seen in the way she lived her life. Admired for her strength of mind and will, as seen in her dignity, hope, honesty, determination, and good will and dying with the same. All who knew her will still see her smile and the twinkle in her eye and hear the humorous remarks she had ready. Our lives were enriched for knowing her!
Visitation will be at Rosewood Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, November 5, 2010, beginning at 1:30 with interment at Memory Gardens on Highway 87 North.
Contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene of Victoria in lieu of other memorials.
