

Richard J. "Dick" Gorenflo, 77, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home in Victoria, Texas. Son of the late John R. and Anna Werner Gorenflo, he was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved several times due to his father’s work. He graduated high school in Bay City, Michigan, attended Marquette University before graduating from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Business Administration. He began his lifelong career in the commercial furniture industry on the supplier side, serving as purchasing Agent at Keeler Brass, then as the head sales with Weber Knapp, Haefele, Kenlin, and as an independent sales representative for multiple firms such as Atdec, Preferred Finishing Inc. and Fulterer. Dick had many interests and hobbies, including traveling, cooking, boating and sports (especially the NHL Chicago BlackHawks and NFL Seattle SeaHawks.)
He leaves his wife, partner, best friend, and love of his life, Rosario Cabral and sons, R. James Gorenflo, Jr. of Manchester, Michigan and John Byrne Gorenflo and wife Judith Marie of Chelsea, Michigan from a previous marriage.
Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Bloomington, Texas; the family will receive guests at a visitation from 8:00 am to 10:00 am followed by the Memorial Mass to be held at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at San Jose Cemetery, Bloomington, Texas.
