Ronnie was born August 17, 1942, to Adolph and Lillie Mae Charbula. He married his high school sweetheart, LaVernia (Sissie) Franz on September 28, 1962. Ronnie was an oilfield roughneck and was later self-employed in the dirt-hauling business. Ronnie was an avid collector and enjoyed taking occasional trips to the Hill Country or to Louisiana with his wife and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Charbula, of Houston, and one son, Ronald Ray and daughter-in-law, Barbara, of Inez. Ronnie had one granddaughter, Brooke Myers.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie, wife LaVernia, parents, and grandparents.
There will be no services, but memorial donations may be made in Ronnie’s name to any animal shelter, for he had a love for animals, especially his beloved Jack-Russell, Paco, who has been by his side the last several years.
