Ruby Mae Morris

Ruby Mae Morris, 82, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016. She was born June 4, 1933 in Mission Valley to the late Edwin Karl and Amanda Elizabeth Brown Mueller. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley.

She is survived by her husband, James Royce Morris, Sr. of Victoria; daughter, Elizabeth Dee Koopmann (Ralph) of Yorktown; sons, James Royce Morris, Jr. (Joyce) of Mission Valley, David Newt Morris (Lynn) of Victoria and Andrew Clyde Morris (Lori) of Mission Valley; sisters, Edna Morris and Bessie Ann Sproles of Mission Valley;

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Charles Mueller; sisters, Lillian Caroline Reinecke and Dorothy Elizabeth Naugle.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, April 1, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Mission Valley Cemetery, Rev. Leslie Judge officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Shanon Morris, Kevin Morris, Cody Morris, Lee Morris, John Morris and Joey Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: Aaron Koopmann, Randy Morris and granddaughters: Ericka Junek, Amanda Garcia and Rachel Adcock.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley or a charity of the donor’s choice.
