

Sammy Lane Fagan, 79, of Tivoli, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was born May 2, 1935 in Refugio County to the late Samuel Fagan and Henrietta West Fagan. Sammy retired from Union Carbide and enjoyed being a rancher and cowboy. He was a member of the Independent Cattlemen’s Association and an elder of First Presbyterian Church in Tivoli.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Payne Fagan; daughters, Nancy Smith and Peggy Chapa; son, Billy Fagan; step-son, Kurt Clements; two grandchildren, Shawn and Rabiale Elmhdati; step-grandson, Trevor Davis; and great grandchild, Davion Allen Comb.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Tivoli with Rev. Larry Green officiating. Burial will follow at Tivoli Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Roger Fagan, Pat Fagan, Dr. Dan Gamblin, Jason Hanselman, Josh Hanselman and Dr. Jared Hanselman.
Honorary Pallbearers are The Cowboys - Joe Custer, Butch Eggemeyer, Arnulfo Perez, Doug Wolfshohl and his Lifelong Hunting Friend, Leslie Keller.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Tivoli or Hospice of South Texas.
