Stacy Alexander McGarity was born on July 25, 1960, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Doris W. Alexander and the late Harry P. Alexander. Stacy moved to Victoria, Texas where she met the love of her life, Charlie McGarity.
After a very strong and courageous battle against cancer, Stacy’s final days were spent with family and friends that she touched during her short, yet very memorable life. Finally, on Thursday November 28, with her family by her side, Stacy took her last deep breath. Although her body was weak, her faith continued to remain strong as she left.
Stacy was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her friends and family members. Stacy touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her positive attitude and sense of humor all the way until the end.
Stacy and Charlie had been married for 34 years and made wonderful memories with their three children, Cody, Alyson & Kelsey and one granddaughter Sophia. In addition, Stacy is survived by her mother, Doris Alexander; sister, Denise Green and husband David of San Antonio; brother, Brent Alexander and wife Diane of San Antonio and brother, Todd Alexander and his wife Hollie of San Antonio; along with her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Her father, Harry Paul Alexander, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, December 1st at Grace Presbyterian Church.
Should family or friends desire, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Grace Presbyterian Church or Hospice of South Texas.
