Susana Cabrera Moya departed from earth and reached her beautiful destination of Heaven on July 3, 2025 where she was welcomed by Our Heavenly Father and her loving family and friends. She was 85 years young. Susana was born to Eduardo and Reyes Cabrera in Kingsville, Texas, on September 10, 1939.
Susana was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and family member to anyone who knew her. She was a wonderful educator.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She and her husband were passionate in their love for Jesus and served actively, helping people.
She is survived by her loving husband, Pete Moya; her children, Deborah Ann Olmsted, Linda Mathis Bowles (Shannon); her stepson, Peter Moya Jr. (Jina); sister, Elia Morais (Ray); brother, Eduardo Cabrera (Connie); grandchildren, Kristen Alexandria Shironaka (Nick), Trent Edward Bowles (Ashlyn), Devin Christian Moya (Brittany), Mikayla Christine Moya, Stephanie Erin Zavaletta (Gus), Robert DJ Lerma; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Cole Bowles, Maxine Claire Moya, Phoenix James Moya, Hendrix Lee Moya and Grace Belin Zavaletta. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, associates of Incarnate Word Sisters, sorority sisters, and countless loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter, Belinda Lerma.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, a rosary will be recited at 12:15 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 PM with entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
Fellowship and reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall following the burial at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Trent Bowles, Robert DJ Lerma, Ray Morais, Wayne Morais, Devin Moya, and Nick Shironaka.
