Sylvia Resendez

Sylvia was born on October 9, 1959, in El Campo, TX, to the late Defino and Theresa Cerrillo Sr.

Sylvia graduated from Victoria High School in 1979. She loved to draw and paint and was very talented in her artwork. She had a very close relationship with God and would pray for her family often. She was very close to her family and loved them dearly.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Jerry Resendez; sisters, Anita Delgado, Gloria Vallejo (Emilio); brothers, Richard Cerrillo (Linda), George Cerrillo (Mandy), and Delfino Cerrillo Jr. (Leticia).

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 9-9:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, followed by the reciting of the rosary at 9:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, with burial immediately following at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
