Tommy Joe Gonzales

Tommy Joe Gonzales, age 69, of Victoria, Texas went home to Heaven on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 5PM to 7PM at Colonial Funeral Home, with rosary beginning at 7PM. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10AM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Flores, Robert Rodriguez, David Sanchez, Lupe Solis, Manuel Salinas, David Flores, Jaime Aguillar, Lee Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Basaldua, John Rush, Ben Benavides and Dr. Jesse DeLeon.

Tommy was born December 29, 1952 to Genevieve Martinez Gonzales and Joe C. Gonzales. He attended Victoria High School and Victoria Business College. Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Dalia Casanova. He worked for Union Carbide/DOW. After retiring, he began working for VISD and Citizens Medical Center until retiring in 2018.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Dalia Ann Casanova Gonzales; father, Joe C. Gonzales; daughters, Marisol Gonzales and Jessica L. Crofts (Adam); son, Michael Gonzales (Debbie); and grandson, Gabriel Michael Crofts; siblings, Robert Gonzales, Albert Gonzales and Anita Gonzales.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Martinez Gonzales; and brothers, Richard Gonzales and Ralph Gonzales.
