Vicenta Chica, 84, of Victoria, passed away surrounded by members of her loving family. Vicenta was born April 5, 1935 In Ecuador to the late Jose Floridor Chica Sambrano and Ermelinda Falcones Falcones. Vicenta was the matriarch of the family and was a loving, caring, and supportive person who offered guidance and direction to all her loved ones. She was an amazing cook, seamstress and had a green thumb for plants. She will be truly missed by all her family.
Vicenta is survived by her son, Jose Richardo Chica (Edith) of Fort Worth; daughter, Consuelo Rachide Chica (Daniel Reyes) of Victoria; grandson (raised as her son), Julio Alberto Villegas (Michelle) of Houston; 1 sister; 2 brothers; 3 additional grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alberto Cristobal Chica and 1 brother.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with burial to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
